Meghashree hails from a family of Legendary Theatre and Motion Picture Personalities. She possess Diploma in Fashion Technology from Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Polytechnic. Blessed as the Grand daughter of Sri. C. Honnappa Bhagavathar - a stalwart in the motion pictures of Kannada Cinema, who was also renowned as the '' Gaana Kala Bhushana '' in Tamil and Kannada. He is bestowed with the Karnataka Nataka Academy Awards, Gold medals for his extraordinary talent as a great musician and for his splendid style of  ''Harikatha''. His name is synonymously with the splendid folk art / music which is now moving into the oblivion.
