ವರಲಕ್ಶ್ಮಿ ಅವಾಂತರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಕಲಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಹೊಚ್ಚ ಹೊಸ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ನಾಟಕ. ಈ ನಾಟಕವು ನಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗು ಸಾಕು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಸಂಭಂದದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಪ್ರಸಂಗಗಳ ಗುಛ್ಚ.  ನಾಟಕದೊಳಗೆ ಸ್ಟಾಂಡಪ್ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಮೊಟ್ಟ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಯೋಗ ಇದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ನಾಟಕ ಮದುವೆಯ ನಂತರ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣಿನ ನಡುವಿನ ಸರಸಮಯ ಗೊಂದಲಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಜೀವನದ ಎಳೆಗಳನ್ನೇ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಮನರಂಜಿಸಲು ಈ ನಾಟಕ ಸಜ್ಜಾಗಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರಕಸಂ ಬಗ್ಗೆ: ಪ್ರಕಸಂ (ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಕಲಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ) ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಹೊಸತನ್ನೇ ನೀಡಿದೆ. 5D ನಾಟಕ ೧೩ ಮಾರ್ಗೋಸಾ ಮಹಲ್,  ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಹೊಸಬೆಳಕು, ಮೊದಲನೇ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಸ್ಟಾಂಡ್ ಅಪ್ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಸಿಹಿಕಹಿ ಚಂದ್ರು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ “ಕೀಟಲೆ”,  ಸಿಹಿಕಹಿ ಚಂದ್ರು ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಟಕ ಬೋಗಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಏಳು ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಸಂಗೀತದ ಆಯಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಸ್ವರಾಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ, ಪೌರಾಣಿಕವನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆಸಿದ ಸೈರಂದ್ರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ನಕ್ಕು ನಲಿಸಿದ ರಾಜೇಂದ್ರ ಕಾರಂತ ಅವರ ಮಹಪೀಡೆ ಮಹಬ್ಲೂ, ಕೆಲವು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳಷ್ಟೆ. ಪಾಳು ಬಿದ್ದ ಕೆ.ಎಚ್. ಕಲಾಸೌಧವನ್ನು 2009-2018ರವರೆಗೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅದನ್ನ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಕಸಂನ ಕಿರೀಟದ ಕೊಹಿನೂರ್ ಎಂದೇ ಹೇಳಬಹುದು.  ಪ್ರಕಸಂ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಕಲೆಗಳಿಂದ, ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಕಲೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಮೀಸಲಿರುವ NGO. ಹೊಸ ಬಗೆಯ ನಾಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕವರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಕುವ ಹಾಗು ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಕಲಾ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿ ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಕಸಂ 2001ರಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆವಿಗೂ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಹಾಗು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಕಲಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಭಂದಿಸಿದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿವರಗಳಿಗೆ www.prakasamtrust.org ನೋಡಿ

ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರ ನುಡಿ, ಪಿ.ಡಿ. ಸತೀಶ್ ಚಂದ್ರ: "ನಾಗವೇಣಿ ರಂಗನ್ ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿ ಬಂದು ಈ ನನ್ನ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದಾಗ ನನಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವಾಯಿತು. ಅನೇಕ ಬರಹಗಾರರು ಹಾಗು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬದಲಿಸಿ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡುವುವನೆಂದು ದೂರ ಸರಿಸಿದ್ದರು.. ನಾಗವೇಣಿ ಅವರ ಹಿಂದಿನ ನಾಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಟಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.  ಮೊದಲನೇ ಬಾರಿ ಓದಿದಾಗಲೇ ನನಗೆ ರಂಗದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇಗಿರಬಹುದೆಂದು ನೆನೆದು ನಗಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಯವಾಗಿಸಿದೆ. ನಾಗವೇಣಿ ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳ್ಳನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಲು ಸ್ಟಾಂಡ್ ಅಪ್ ಕಾಮಿಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನಿತರ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸವೇ ಕಾರಣ. ಪ್ರತಿ ತಾಲೀಮಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಅದೇ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಪದೇ ಪದೇ ನಕ್ಕು ನಲಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇದೆ ರೀತಿ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರು ನಕ್ಕು ನಲಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆಂದು, ಹಿಂದೆಂದೂ ಕಾಣದಂತೆ ಮನೋರಂಜನೆ ನೀಡುವೆವೆಂದು ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. 

ಲೇಖಕಿ, ನಾಗವೇಣಿ ರಂಗನ್: ನನ್ನ ಡ್ರಾಮಾ "ವರಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಅವಾಂತರ"ಪಿ.ಡಿ.ಸತೀಶ್ ಚಂದ್ರ ಪ್ರಕಸಂ ತಂಡದಿಂದ ವೇದಿಕೆಗೆ ತರತಾ ಇದಾರೆ, ಇದು ನನಗೆ ತುಂಬ ಖುಷಿ ವಿಷಯ..ಈ ನಾಟಕಾನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸೋದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಹಾಸ್ಯಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ಇರುವ ರಂಗಕರ್ಮಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ಆಸೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೆ. ಸತೀಶ್ ರವರಿಗಿಂತ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಬೇಕಾ? ನಾನು ಪ್ರಕಸಂನ ಡ್ರಾಮ ರೀಡಿಂಗ್ ಹೋದಾಗ ಅವರು ಮತ್ತು ಟೀಂನವರು ಪ್ರತಿ ಜೋಕ್ಗೆ ನಗತಾ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದು ನೋಡಿ ಅವರು ಈ ಡ್ರಾಮಾ ಖಂಡಿತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂತ ಖಾತರಿ ಆಯಿತು. ಈ ನಾಟಕ ನಾ ಕಂಡ ಸತ್ಯಕತೆ ಅನ್ನಬಹುದು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹಾಸ್ಯದ ಒಗ್ಗರಣೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಅಡಿಗೆ (ಡ್ರಾಮಾ) ರೆಡಿಮಾಡಿದೀನಿ. ಸತೀಷ್ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ, ಕರಿಬೇವು, ವಗ್ಗರಣೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಆ ಡಿಷ್ ನ ಡ್ರೆಸ್ ಮಾಡಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸ್ಟೇಜ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಸರ್ವ್ ಮಾಡ್ತಿದಾರೆ..ಈ ಡ್ರಾಮಾ ನೋಡುವಾಗ ನೀವು ಎಷ್ಟು ಕನೆಕ್ಟ್ ಅಗ್ತೀರ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಘಟನೆ ಆಗ್ತಾ ಇದೆಯೇನೋ ಅನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೆ. ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನೆ ಹೇಳ್ತಾ ಇದೀನಿ ಡ್ರಾಮಾಗೆ ಬನ್ನೀಪ್ಪಾ ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆ ತಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ನಗೋದು ಬೇಡವಾ?

Varalakshmi Avantara is Prakasam's latest comedy production which brings about the humans in animals and animals in humans.  A comedy rollercoaster with unique inclusions like Stand-up in a play for the very first time this is set to entertain audiences. The play also speaks about the post marital dilemma of all men and women.  With a leaf from all our lives, this play is set to entertain the audiences.  

About Prakasam: Prakasam has always done something new in its productions. Like the 5D play 13 Margosa Mahal, Novel & Movie based play Hosabelaku, First Kannada Standup Show called Keetale featuring Sihi Kahi Chandru way back in 1999, Sihi Kahi Chandru also featured in 7 different roles in the play Bogie, musical extravaganza with Swaraga programs, we time travelled with Sairandhri & made people laugh with Rajendra Karanth’s Mahapeede Mahablu. The pinnacle of Prakasam’s achievemnets is running KH Kala Soudha between 2009-2018 & promoting preforming arts. Prakasam or Pradarshana Kalaa Samsthe is an NGO created with the sole intention of promoting, nurturing and creating new works of performing arts. Directors Note, PD Sathish Chandra: When Nagaveni madam told me that I should direct one of her scripts I was confused.  Since most of the writers and directors avoid me because I make serious scenes and productions comic. this was strange to see a writer asking me to direct her work.  Then I saw her previous writing and productions based on them, then I braved to call her to discuss this play.  When I first read it, I was laughing imagining it on stage.  With her liberty I added some tweaks to make it funnier.  The stand-up gig & few other design elements convinced Nagaveni madam to agree to my script inputs.  I have enjoyed every rehearsal & laughed repeatedly at the same jokes. I hope to entertain audiences in a never before way.

Writers Note, Nagaveni Rangan: I am very happy that PD Sathish Chandra is brining my work on stage. I wanted someone with commitment to theatre and impeccable comedy timing to take this script up. After I met PD it was evident that I would not find anyone like him. They invited me for the first reading and by the way they reacted I was sure that this will see stage soon. This indeed is a true story based on my own experiences.  I have made the dish ready, PD has added dressing to that and will be serving it on stage for all of you. This play will connect to every individual who is watching, I think I should stop now and invite you all to come and laugh with us.
