Why theatre for us ?

First and above all – enjoyment. Then comes a wide range of other benefits.
It provides an outlet for self-expression and helps the development of
imagination and artistic awareness. It increases social awareness particularly
through role play, mental awareness, fluency of speech, self knowledge, self respect, self discipline and self confidence. Theatre gives us the opportunity to learn how to co-operate with others and helps to develop orderly thinking and the ability to organise. It improves physical co-ordination and physical fitness. Theatre is always a group work. So we should always think about the co ordination with our fellow beings which is very very important in theatre. We can slowly achieve this through our involvement in theatre. we can play theatre games together and we can find some outlets to be happy in the group. The theatre games have the positive potential of contributing towards the enrichment of the development of the mind . It gives us the greater concentration and a sense of participation. It has proven on many occasions that people who have been taught theatre games regularly have shown a more positive results in their day to day life.

So let us play some theatre games and learn what it teach us.
