WTF Festival
Before you get ideas about WTF it stands for Whoosh Theatre Fast, which implies that it is a festival of short plays.
Date of the Festival: 18th to 22th April, 2012
Venue: KH Kala Soudha
We would request you to send in your entries via

~ Upload it online and mail us the link
~ Take appointment and do a Live Screening
(which we don't advice keeping sheer no of entries in mind)
Will announce the last date ASAP & Entry Fees:- 200/-
Parameter for our selection of your performance to festival would be Theme, Presentation, Work on Acting & Stage Craft.
We would be selecting 21 teams of which 3 top teams will enter finals & one team will be announced winner amidst a gala audience and a chief guest.
~ On First three days the fest 21 teams will perform on stage starting from 6.30 p.m and here the selection will be done only based on audience poll. No scope for judges interference here.
~ On Second day 3 TOP people will perform after Hosablaku a first of its kind play will be staged.
~ On Third day Results will be announced and rewarded after WeMove will present their work.
Awards to be given out at this festival are:
~ Best Actor
~ Best Actress
~ Best Director
~ Best Screenplay
~ Best Production
Ticketing for all days of performance would be 100 Rs.
Rules for WTF Festival
Important Information for the participants of the Drama Competition:
- Entry into the Festival is ONLY after screening the play either by CD, Online Video or Live screening
- For live screening, the date will be notified to the team after the registrations.
- Screening of the play is by judges and on preset parameters.
- 7 productions to perform on each of the 3 days so in total 21 productions are expected at the theatre festival
- The duration of the drama should be 15 mins and NOT even a second More than 15 minutes.
- There should not be more than 20 characters/actors on stage (as a team for easy mobility)
- The Drama Team should be able to set up the props and other necessary requirements to stage within 5 minutes.
- The language should be either in English, Hindi or Kannada
- The Drama can have costumes, dance, music and also models to enhance the interest and credibility of the Drama.
- No written scripts will be allowed during the performance
- The Drama cannot have people from background narrating, No Voice OVERS allowed
- Audiences are expected to maintain silence during the play. At the discretion of the organizers, points may be deducted if any team members in the audience cause a disturbance. Mobile phones must be switched off or set to silent mode.
- Briefing Sessions:
- Selected plays will be called on a pre informed date for a briefing session by the Festival Directors. Representative of each production should attend the briefing sessions
- Written Posters / Banners / A.V. Aids can be used for illustration.
- The Festival directors hold the veto rights in case of selection in case of any discretion.
