Hitha is an enthusiast of art and performing arts from early years and now is working for a Tele production house. Being an active participant in every cultural event in her school and college days, Hitha still continues to involve herself in various shows- theatre and dance. She has been studying Kathak, a classical form of dance, under dancer duo Smt & Sri Nirupama Rajendra for the past 7 years and, has also performed with her gurus at various dance recitals.

As a child artist, she has acted in tv shows such as ‘Dinakondu kathe’, ‘Second Hand Sadashiva’, and Paa Pa Pandu’. Hitha Chandrashekar is a alumni of Hanumanth Nagar Bimba and has performed in over 6 Children’s plays. In college, she was an active member of the cultural team and a part of a dance group- ‘Samaksh’. She also attended various theatre workshops including ‘ahaa- childern’s theatre workshop’ held at Rangashankara. She holds a certificate for ‘PLAYBACK THEATRE’, from Christ University 09-10. Her theatrical accomplishments include-

-Comedy play “Fresh and Crush”, written by MS Narasimha Murthy, staged at 9 cities in the USA,
- Comedy play “Hennu Kannu”, written by Late AS Murthy.
-8 Monologue in “ Beyond Boundaries”, a Christ University Vision 2020 production.

Apart from her passion for dance and theatre, Hitha has also been trained in Hindustani Classical music for 5 years under various Gurus including Smitha Bellur and Narasimha Joshi. To add to her versatility in theatre, she has performed in the mela, alongside B. Jayashree and her team ‘Spandana’ for the famous play ‘Ghashiram Kothwal’. Hitha, is well versed in singing ‘Rangageethegalu’ and has performed with team Spandana at various other shows.

Hitha, hopes to continue pursuing her interest for art and welcome all opportunities that come her way.

Katha Sangama "Bouquet of Stories"

Katha Sangama "Bouquet of Stories"  There has been a trend of short plays in the modern time of timelessness. We are so used to instant food, job, friendship, money we are also bombarded with requests for short plays. We now have successfully prepared the “Bouquet of Stories” exclusively for you. Marking the 100th birth anniversary of Kodagina Gowramma , the gallant feminist writer at her times (1912-1939) we are staging her short story too as part of this festival.  The play is in Kannada and the exquisite selection of the stories will make you want more. With eight Jnanapeth Awards and stalwarts to choose from we had to read more than 120 short stories written between early 1930’s to 2011 to arrive at this unique bouquet. We sincerely hope that you will have a blast watching this as we have creating this performance piece for you.
