Balakrishna Arwankar AKA Balu, is a silent lad from Kumta and is the life line of Prakasam's backstage production.  A professional fabricator and a prolific worker he always helps the productions and projects at Prakasam to go on smoothly.  He also acts as set designer and executioner on all projects of Prakasam.  He is also being hired by other production teams outside Prakasam to help them in back stage operations. He is the dark horse who has selflessly involved himself in all the production and his meticulous planning has ensured the project a success.   He is adored as Man friday by the entire team at Prakasam.

He is also bitten by the acting bug and has acted in small but definitive characters in some of Prakasam's productions like Gulle Nari and Mr. Shambho Shiva Shankara.

Balu has involved himself as Producer of Pawan Kumar's crowd funded movie Lucia and has been associated with other movie projects and his responsibility ranged from producer to actor.

Katha Sangama "Bouquet of Stories"  There has been a trend of short plays in the modern time of timelessness. We are so used to instant food, job, friendship, money we are also bombarded with requests for short plays. We now have successfully prepared the “Bouquet of Stories” exclusively for you. Marking the 100th birth anniversary of Kodagina Gowramma , the gallant feminist writer at her times (1912-1939) we are staging her short story too as part of this festival.  The play is in Kannada and the exquisite selection of the stories will make you want more. With eight Jnanapeth Awards and stalwarts to choose from we had to read more than 120 short stories written between early 1930’s to 2011 to arrive at this unique bouquet.
