CODEX presents Missing Doll
CODEX (Community Digital Experimental) presents "Missing Doll", a Digital Experiment interpreting - "Kafka and the doll"- by Larissa Theule. Directed by Akshara Venugopal.
Plot Summary: Kafka encounters a girl crying in the park. Curious to find her obsession over a lost doll, he decides to write letters on behalf of the doll. By sharing tales of a make-believe adventure around the world, every day, she is introduced to a new adventure, a new country and their cultures through doll's letters. She soon forgets her loss and expands her perspective. One final day Kafka replaces the doll with another. The girl denies ownership. A note attached to the new doll reads ‘travel around the world has made her new, and better version of the self'.
