English: Road Awareness Street Play Kannada: ರಸ್ತೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯ ಬೀದಿ ನಾಟಕ Director: PD Sathish Chandra Writer: Chandan Shankar Year: 2024 Genre: Street Play Synopsis: A street play designed and executed specially for TKM and its employees to stay motivated to follow every rule of law when they are performing their duties. It takes its origins from the folk forms of Doddata & Sannata, popular even today in rural areas of Karnataka. There will be a Sutradhar (convener) for the whole production who will weave the story around the topics given to us before the performance, viz. Adverse effects of Drink & Drive, Seat Belt & Helmet, Fatigue, restless driving & harsh driving, Underage driving. We not only perform , we also play. Prakasam participated in a cricket tournament known as Rangabhoomi Premier League. Around 20-25 teams participated in a two day tournament held at Bangalore university Campus and we made it to semi-finals.    Photos

We grew up with these stories and learned some very important life lessons from them too. Anytime we felt low, we could pick up our favourite book and get back to our fantasy world. Just like that.  Forward to today and all we see is life literally flashing by. Everyone’s in a rush – to eat, to work, to run, to sleep and that’s it. Everything is in a mad rush and somehow, somewhere along this crazy running around, we have replaced almost everything we used, with a mobile phone.
