Pra.Ka.Sam in its quest of bringing out top class theater projects has set its focus on the legendary play “Gulle Nari” (Sly Fox) originally written and directed by the veteran theater legend Srinivas Prabhu in early 80’s.  The play is a comical satire which was created in the earlier days of Prabhu’s career but is absolutely relatable to the current scenario in the society.

USP’s of the play:
·         The play is a classic comic satire written by veteran NSD topper Srinivas Prabhu
·         The songs are superbly written & beautifully composed by the Light Music legend Upasana Mohan, a first time for him he has considered it as a challenge & delivered in style
·         Not even single English, Hindi or words from any other language are used in this play, making it a 100% Kannada Play & a purist delight to watch
·         No blackouts ever in the play making it a continuously running comedy & technically profound
·         Eye opener for all of us, keeping in mind the stereotypic and cynic lifestyles we are leading
·         The songs have turned the play into a comic musical, a rare and untried theatric genre

Director’s Note: P D Sathish Chandra

My dad took me to this play when I was seven & I remember the songs and the never ending laughter inside the auditorium.  I requested Srinivas Prabhu Ji to lend me the script to stage; he was very delighted to hear my small story of how I got introduced to theater & not only lend me the script but also gave me insights to direction of the play.  The script was so tempting I could not resist myself from not acting & take the role of the Crow.  Am sure this would be the classiest play Pra.Ka.Sam has ever produced & I have ever directed.

Katha Sangama "Bouquet of Stories"

Katha Sangama "Bouquet of Stories"  There has been a trend of short plays in the modern time of timelessness. We are so used to instant food, job, friendship, money we are also bombarded with requests for short plays. We now have successfully prepared the “Bouquet of Stories” exclusively for you. Marking the 100th birth anniversary of Kodagina Gowramma , the gallant feminist writer at her times (1912-1939) we are staging her short story too as part of this festival.  The play is in Kannada and the exquisite selection of the stories will make you want more. With eight Jnanapeth Awards and stalwarts to choose from we had to read more than 120 short stories written between early 1930’s to 2011 to arrive at this unique bouquet. We sincerely hope that you will have a blast watching this as we have creating this performance piece for you. We enclose a small brief below of the stories to give you a better idea of the performances. We have interwoven six stories, running around the ...
