FAQ
Why call it Refresh T20?
The whole world is coming out of the loom of Pandemic & all
of us are eager to refresh our lives.
The pandemic has haunted us for more than 20 months now. We thought of celebrating our 20th
birthday with 20 short plays & give 20 thousand as the first prize. See so many 20’s, and hence the name. The T in T20 stands for Theatre :)
What is the prize money?
For the first time there is total prize money of 35000 ₹. The first prize takes home 20000 ₹, Second 10000 ₹ & third 5000 ₹. There would be a second performance of the winning plays on the annual day of our title sponsors. The date for which would be made known by end of the competition.
What is the theme for short plays?
Since we are all refreshing, recovering and restarting our lives post pandemic "Refresh" is the theme of the competition. Rejuvenating spirits post pandemic is our primary goal & hence the name of the competition too is Refresh T20. Keep coming here we keep updating the blog with every of your question.
What are the 20 plays?
We are inviting the teams of Bangalore to be part of our competition. There would be a simple entry

Based on the entry forms and quality of the writeup about
the play, and a phone conversation (in certain cases) a team from Prakasam
would choose the 20 plays for the competition.
What happens after selection?
You will be notified immediately (as soon as you submit the application form) so that you have ample time to prepare for the production. As the title suggests it is a 20 min play and the theme is “Refresh

The last date is Jan 1, 2022. We might extend the same if there are unforeseen
circumstances.
What happens on the show day?
We give 10 minutes setup time for setting the stage up. There would be no volunteer from our end to help the team to
set up. There would a fixed light setup
with different but fixed options for the teams to choose from. A member from the team will have to execute
the lighting with our competition technicians.
Who is judging the event?
There would be three secret judges watching all plays and giving
out their scores based on Content, Performance, Execution & Design, this
would be 50% of the total score. The
other 50% will be collected from the hard printed & audited ballots handed
out with the tickets at the entry during the performances. Audience voting will be valid at 10% if there are less than 25 voting papers for the play performance.
What will the participating teams get?
