The play reading started on a great note with a large mix of old and new ones in the attendee list and started on time. Writer Tejas narrated the entire script with a few water breaks and the audience were patient throughout and keenly observed and noted the nuances of the play.  The session after the reading invited thoughts and potential changes as a feedback to ensure the play engages and enthuses the audience.

Since the original play has a history of being performed successfully the translated version had a lot of interesting elements that were well retained and presented.  The list of to-do, were also many with a lot of suggestions coming to the table from almost everyone which proved that the story will enthuse audiences.

The suggestions ranged from tweaking to modifying to letting go of certain parts to adding few different characters. The writer absorbed most of it and hopefully has chosen the best ones to include and exclude as per his judgement and discretion.  The large turnout on the first reading made us happy and makes the second one an awaited encounter..

Katha Sangama "Bouquet of Stories"

Katha Sangama "Bouquet of Stories"  There has been a trend of short plays in the modern time of timelessness. We are so used to instant food, job, friendship, money we are also bombarded with requests for short plays. We now have successfully prepared the “Bouquet of Stories” exclusively for you. Marking the 100th birth anniversary of Kodagina Gowramma , the gallant feminist writer at her times (1912-1939) we are staging her short story too as part of this festival.  The play is in Kannada and the exquisite selection of the stories will make you want more. With eight Jnanapeth Awards and stalwarts to choose from we had to read more than 120 short stories written between early 1930’s to 2011 to arrive at this unique bouquet. We sincerely hope that you will have a blast watching this as we have creating this performance piece for you. We enclose a small brief below of the stories to give you a better idea of the performances. We have interwoven six stories, running around the ...
