Prakasam performed one of its rom-com short play "Sahana Murthy" in Singapore. The event took place on 23 September 2023 at the theatre festival organized by Kannada Sangha in Singapore. Event link :  Click here Event pictures:  Click here

 Prakasam participated in Pravara theatre's 10th year celebrations. Prakasam's director PD Sathish  Chandra represented Prakasam in a discussion panel. The topic was Challenges that we face as a theatre group and the our response. PD Sathish Chandra was one of the panelists amongst other theatre giants like Hanu Ramsanjeev, Abhimanyu Bhupathi , Belur Raghunandan to name a few. Apart from this, Prakasam also participated in singing theatre songs as part of this event. The songs were chosen from our blockbuster hit plays "Masti Kallu" and "Gulle Nari".  All you need to know about Bogie Tickets -  The play is about 7 friends who decide to go out on a reunion trip and are supposed to meet in the railway station. Each of the characters enters the stage unveiling their personalities, they talk about what they have enjoyed the most and how they have missed the same in their constant desire for materialistic comforts and a false feeling of status. ಸತ್ಯ ನಿತ್ಯ ಕಿರು ನಾಟಕ ರಚನೆ, ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ, ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ: ಸತೀಶ ಚಂದ್ರ ಪಿ. ಡಿ. ನಾಟಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ: ಇಂದಿನ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣತೆಯ ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮನುಷ್ಯ ದಿನೇ ದಿನೇ ಸೋಮಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಾವು ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಅರಿವಾಗುವುದರೊಳಗೆ ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ಗಂಟೆಗಳು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳು ನಡೆದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಮೇಲ್ನೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೇ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದರೆ, ಸುಲಭದ ತುತ್ತು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲೋ ಏನೋ ಎಡವಟ್ಟುಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಅದೇ ತರಹದ ಒಂದು ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡವು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನಾಟಕದ ವಿಷಯವಸ್ತು. About the Play: Complexity is the new mantra for today & it conveniently has made man lazier. Things that used to take so many hours to fruit are happening before we realize what we have done. It does look good on surface, but we are realisng that it is doing wrongs somewhere else.  How Kannada corrects a similar complexity is the theme of the play. ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರ ನುಡಿ: ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ನಾನು ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮಾತು ಬಂದಾಗ ಹೇಳುವುದು, ಕನ್ನಡ ಉಳಿಸಲು ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಎಂದು. ಕನ್ನಡದವರೇ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗಿಟ್ಟಿರುವುದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿನ ನನಗೇನು ಹೊಸದಲ್ಲ.  ಕನ್ನಡವೇ ಬರದೆ ಕನ್ನಡನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಭಿಕ್ಷವಾಗಿರ...
