ಕಿರು ನಾಟಕ

ರಚನೆ, ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ, ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ: ಸತೀಶ ಚಂದ್ರ ಪಿ. ಡಿ.

ನಾಟಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ: ಇಂದಿನ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣತೆಯ ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮನುಷ್ಯ ದಿನೇ ದಿನೇ ಸೋಮಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಾವು ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಅರಿವಾಗುವುದರೊಳಗೆ ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ಗಂಟೆಗಳು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳು ನಡೆದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಮೇಲ್ನೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೇ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದರೆ, ಸುಲಭದ ತುತ್ತು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲೋ ಏನೋ ಎಡವಟ್ಟುಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಅದೇ ತರಹದ ಒಂದು ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡವು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನಾಟಕದ ವಿಷಯವಸ್ತು.
About the Play: Complexity is the new mantra for today & it conveniently has made man lazier. Things that used to take so many hours to fruit are happening before we realize what we have done. It does look good on surface, but we are realisng that it is doing wrongs somewhere else. How Kannada corrects a similar complexity is the theme of the play.

ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರ ನುಡಿ: ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ನಾನು ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮಾತು ಬಂದಾಗ ಹೇಳುವುದು, ಕನ್ನಡ ಉಳಿಸಲು ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಎಂದು. ಕನ್ನಡದವರೇ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗಿಟ್ಟಿರುವುದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿನ ನನಗೇನು ಹೊಸದಲ್ಲ. ಕನ್ನಡವೇ ಬರದೆ ಕನ್ನಡನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಭಿಕ್ಷವಾಗಿರುವ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಅರಿವುಮೂಡಿಸಲು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಸೋತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅದೇ ಧಾಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ಯೋಚನೆ ಸತ್ಯ ನಿತ್ಯ. ನಾವು "ಸತ್ಯ" ಅಂದರೆ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕವಾಗಿ, ದಿನ"ನಿತ್ಯ" ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವುದೇ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ನಾವು ಮಾಡುವ ಅಳಿಲುಸೇವೆ.

Director's note: When I talk about Kannada, I always say, use Kannada to save Kannada. It is not new to a Bangalorean like me that Kannada people have categorically & conveniently excluded Kannada from their daily life. We all have collectively failed to impart Kannada culture & knowledge for people who have mad this state their home. This gave me the first thought for Satya Nitya. If we HONESTLY (Satya) use Kannada in our DAILY (Nitya) existence, we shall be doing our duty as a Kannadiga.
