Synopsis: This play is essentially based on the relationship between a woman and man at different stages. There have been umpteen number of attempts in putting this relationship between the sexes on stage via mediums well-known and unknown. Our play would address the same using well-knit poems and with dramatics to please the audiences. We would establish the relationship through poems addressing friendship, love, romance, death, future, lifestyle and other day today facets of lives.

ABOUT THE PLAY

'Play with poems as dialogues for the first time ever in Kannada Theatre'

This play is essentially based on the relationship between a woman and man at different stages. There have been umpteen number of attempts in putting this relationship between the sexes on stage via mediums well-known and unknown. Our play would address the same using well-knit poems and with dramatics to please the audiences. We would establish the relationship through poems addressing friendship, love, romance, death, future, lifestyle and other day today facets of lives.

What started as a fun chatter on Facebook has taken this form. Its effect and simplicity will be the USP of the production. With no production expense and liquid form makes it easier to stage at any given point of time & within no time. The basic objective is to narrate the known through an unknown and unexplored medium. Similar to rehearsed readings or Oodu Kathe formats.

The premiere show was on Oct 20, 2013 @ 4 PM in Kala Soudha.

Avana comic, gabby poems… mostly inspired from what Chetana wrote are by PD Sathish Chandra. He currently is the Director of Prakasam and performing artist.

EXECUTION

There would be primarily two protagonists on stage reading & enacting the poems on stage. Poems will be couplets narrated by the woman followed by the man. With maximum of 4 segments on stage the performance would be for 70 minutes with balanced sets of poems.
